How to play

A game to find out whether you really know each other as well as you think. On every card, one of you guesses and the other says if it’s right.

1. Read the card out loud.
2. The guesser gives their answer out loud, before anything is revealed.
3. Cards with options: your partner first picks their real answer in secret, then you guess which one.
4. Your partner says “right” or “wrong”, then tells the story. Swap roles at every card and keep score.

For it to work

• A wrong answer is just one more thing you learn about each other, not a failure.
• When a card asks for a demo or a kiss, do it. That’s where the best laughs are.
• You can always skip a card, no explanation needed.

Length: 15 to 25 minutes. Perfect over drinks or in bed.

Before you play

Each of you says in one sentence what you fancy tonight, and what you would rather avoid. Then pick a slightly silly stop word, say “artichoke”: if either of you says it, the card is set aside, no questions asked, and you move on to the next one laughing.
