Never have I ever… for two

How to play

Statements that start with “Never have I ever…”. Each of you confesses in secret, then you find out who has.

1. Read the card.
2. Each of you votes in secret, “I have” or “Never”: on your two phones in your shared space, or by raising a finger on three, if you’re playing on one screen.
3. Whoever has done it tells the story in one minute. The other can ask one question, and only one.
4. At the end, count your “I have”s. The winner suggests how the evening goes on, and the other says yes or suggests something better.

Golden rule

You tell, you don’t justify. Nothing confessed here ever comes up in an argument. You can always skip a card, no explanation needed.

Length: 15 to 25 minutes.

Before you play

Each of you says in one sentence what you fancy tonight, and what you would rather avoid. Then pick a slightly silly stop word, say “artichoke”: if either of you says it, the card is set aside, no questions asked, and you move on to the next one laughing.
