Truth or dare for two: rules and tips
The party classic works for couples too. Here is how to adapt it so it stays fun, close and respectful.
Truth or dare is usually a party game with friends. Played as a couple, though, it becomes a real game of closeness.
The basic rules
- Take turns choosing “truth” or “dare”.
- The other draws a card or makes up a question or a dare.
- Each of you may skip once per game, no explanation needed.
Choose your level
Start with light questions and dares to warm up: a funny memory, an impression, a sincere compliment. Then gradually raise the intensity, only if you both feel like it.
The three golden rules
- Consent first: a “no” is always respected, no discussion.
- Kindness: never ask something just to make the other uncomfortable.
- Laughter: if things get too serious, pause and go back to a light card.
